Children’s Ministries

First Baptist Church is dedicated to assisting families in training their children to live a purposeful life centered in Christ, to help each other grow, become more like Christ, serve others and to spread the Good News.

Our nursery is staffed by screened volunteers who provide care for newborns and toddlers (through 26 months) during Sunday Life Groups at 9:00 am and Worship Service at 10:30 am.

Ages 2 through 5

Our 2 through 5 year old class enjoys loving teachers and an age appropriate environment for learning Bible stories.  Children play, sing, enjoy Bible stories, learning activities, snacks and a take-home paper to reinforce the Bible lesson for that day.  Classes are available during Sunday Life Groups at 9:00 am and the entire Worship Service at 10:30 am.

Good News Club

Wednesdays | 1:00 to 3:00 pm | October through April
Elementary-aged children grow and have fun with creative learning, drama and inspiring stories that teach moral values and encourage healthy character qualities like respect, honesty, and other Biblical principles. This will be our eleventh year of Good News Club with an average of 45 children attending this weekly club! Although this club meets near Bellview Elementary School, any child may attend.

Good News Club Student Leadership Team

Fifth graders who have attended Good News Club in the past have the opportunity to gain some valuable leadership experience by joining the Student Leadership Team. Orientation takes place in early October where they will learn skills that will help them gain confidence, and become better leaders and examples for the younger children.
