Children’s Ministries

FBC Ashland is dedicated to assisting families in training their children to love God, love people and make Him known.

Our nursery is staffed by screened volunteers who provide care for newborns and toddlers (through 26 months) during Sunday Life Groups at 9:00 am and Worship Service at 10:30 am.

Children’s Sunday School

9:00 am
Our children’s Sunday Life Group classes are divided into:
  • 2s – Kindergarten
  • 1st – 5th Grade
Each class uses Gospel Light Bible curriculum featuring Bible story lessons, memory verses, and Bible learning activities which are presented in fun and age-appropriate ways.  Our lessons are designed to cover a wide variety of Bible stories and concepts from both the Old and the New Testament.

Kidz Time

10:30 am
We provide two Kidz Time classes during the worship hour:
  • 2’s – Kindergarten
  • 1st – 5th Grade
Children are welcome to worship alongside their parents in church and are dismissed after several songs to go to their specific class. Both classes have a fun time learning how Jesus Christ is seen throughout all of the Bible using the Gospel Project. This curriculum includes videos, upbeat kid’s worship songs, memory verse games, and lots of activities!

*note: all of our staff working with children (Nursery through 5th graders) have been screened and all classes have two staff members in each classroom.

Good News Club

Wednesdays | 1:00 to 3:00 pm | October through April
Elementary-aged children grow and have fun with creative learning, drama and inspiring stories that teach moral values and encourage healthy character qualities like respect, honesty, and other Biblical principles. This will be our eleventh year of Good News Club with an average of 45 children attending this weekly club! Although this club meets near Bellview Elementary School, any child may attend.

Good News Club Student Leadership Team

Fifth graders who have attended Good News Club in the past have the opportunity to gain some valuable leadership experience by joining the Student Leadership Team. Orientation takes place in early October where they will learn skills that will help them gain confidence, and become better leaders and examples for the younger children.
