About FBC
The mission of the First Baptist Church of Ashland is “loving God, loving people, and making Him known.”
We love Jesus and reach out with His love to all who attend. Teaching is from God’s Word, dress is casual,
and our worship style is blended. Volunteers currently lead worship and we are fortunate to have many
skilled musicians serving on our worship team.

Both members and the community see FBC’s children and youth ministries as positive; youth from
families that don’t attend the church often attend and participate in the programs. We currently hold a
Good News Club at a nearby elementary school, and in the past have had strong VBS and AWANA
programs for children. Our middle level and high school programs are valued and train youth to be
counselors and leaders in their yearly outreach ministries to Newell, CA and El Sauzaul Orphanage in

The church was founded in 1877 and is affiliated with the Conservative Baptist Association. We have
approximately 100 members with a slightly higher attendance on Sunday mornings. An elected Deacon’s
board governs the church and oversees three elected commissions – Property & Finance, Church Life, and
Outreach. The annual budget is approximately 275K.
