Middle School (Turning Point)

Turning Point Tuesdays (TPT)

This is a time where students from all over the valley, from many different churches and many different schools come together for fellowship and fun. These get-togethers are a time where the believers find out who other Christians are on their campus and where non-believers can come to meet Jesus. We meet on Tuesday nights in the Fellowship Hall where we share a meal together, worship together, and have fun together.

Newell Missions Trip

Twice a year, our middle schoolers travel across the California border to minister to an impoverished community in Newell California. In December they distribute food, supplies and special Christmas presents. During the summer, they spend a week in Newell participating in work projects, distributing toiletry items that were collected by children who attended VBS at FBC, and organizing a week of Vacation Bible School and outreach activities for the children of Newell. This is a great opportunity for the middle schoolers to go beyond their world to help and serve others.

Sunday School Class

Middle School students need answers to their faith questions. So, during Sunday School, the middle school students go through the series taught by Pastor Dwayne “Tough Questions and Answers about our Faith.” This teaching time is filled with lots of discussion and kids feel at ease to ask their own questions. Before class the students combine with high school students for a short time of worship.

High School (Frontline)

Thursday Night Live (TNL)

High school students from all over Ashland gather at the Youth House every Thursday night for a lively night of games, worship and a nugget of truth from God’s word. A fun-filled outreach event for the high school students of FBC and the friends they invite.

Mexico Missions Trip

Every spring, high school students dedicate their spring break to helping the children at El Sauzal Orphanage in Mexico. They participate in service projects, VBS for the children, worship, and an in-depth study of God’s Word.  This is a life-changing trip for most of the students and many return with a renewed sense of purpose and a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Monday Lunch

During the school year, Ashland High School students gather on most Mondays for lunch.  The FBC People Mover van takes students and their friends to various restaurants around Ashland to enjoy a meal together.  This is a popular outing, and oftentimes, students are turned away because of limited space.

Sunday School Class

The high schoolers meet during Sunday School at 9:00 am at the Youth House to worship together and to study the word of God together.

College

FOCUS

Our college students are encouraged to participate in Sunday School and Worship services here at FBC. Many also volunteer in the nursery as well as help during Children’s Church, AWANA, and other children’s ministries. The college group also meets once a week on Mondays at 7:00 pm at the Youth House for a time of in-depth Bible study, fellowship and fun.

FOCUS Mexico Trip

Once a year, our college group travels down to Mexico to work at El Sauzal Orphanage. Remember to lift them up in prayer for them to have a dynamic week.
