Opportunities to Serve

If you have a heart for service, here are just some of the ways you can be involved at FBC.

TPT Cooks

Thank you to our FBC family for purchasing food items to help stock TPT’s cupboards. The students and staff are so grateful for your support! We are still in need of cooks. Our middle school youth group gathers on Tuesday nights to worship together, fellowship together and share a meal together. Every week, parents and other volunteers prepare a simple meal for the students of TPT. If you would like to help with cooking a meal for 20-30 students and staff, please contact Pastor Dwayne at 541.482.3836. Thanks again!

Hospitality Cart Ministry

We are looking for some volunteers to work in the Hospitality Cart Ministry on Sunday mornings. If you are interested in helping, please fill out a Connect Card and drop it in the box at the back of the Sanctuary or call the FBC office 541.482.3836. Thank you!

FBC Carpet Cleaning

We need volunteers who would be willing to clean small areas of the FBC carpet as needed. FBC owns a nice carpet cleaning machine and you would have instruction on how to use it. We need people that would be able to volunteer about two hours once a month to spot clean carpets. If you are interested, please note your interest on a Connect Card and drop it in the offering plate, or contact Lee Fox 541.482.3836.

Women’s Missionary Fellowship

WMF meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 9:30 am in the Fellowship Hall. We focus on ministries and missionaries that we support by prayer, giving toward special needs, and hands-on projects which indirectly help them. Some months we have guest missionary speakers. This is a great morning of fellowship, sharing on our missionaries and fun working on projects. We’d love to have you join us!
Some of our ongoing projects include:
.: Collecting UPC Symbols :.
Labels from Campbells products, Santiam products (canned vegetables) and Flav-R-Pac frozen foods. If you want to give us whole labels, we can remove the UPC symbol for you, just be sure the symbol is intact. The Campbells labels are donated to Grace Christian School in Medford (used toward free educational equipment) and the other labels bring us five cents each for our missions support funds.
.: Collecting Cancelled Stamps :.
We need the whole envelope or stamps cut off with about a ½” or more space around the stamps. If you work somewhere that would like to donate their cancelled envelopes—we’d love to have them. Thanks for your help. If you need stamps to be picked up or have any questions about any of our service projects, please contact Lorraine Hays 541.482.3836.

The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. Club includes creative games, music, handbook time and fun Bible messages and theme nights, like Crazy Hat Night. AWANA meets during the school year from September through May.
We are looking for more leaders, and some Listeners, who are adults that can come to Awana on Sunday evenings for 30 minutes to listen to Clubbers pass sections by reciting their memory verses. So, if you aren’t able to be a full-time leader, but love kids, come listen to them as they learn God’s Word.
Please contact Illis 541.482.3836 for more information.

Nursery Volunteers Needed

A few more volunteers are needed! First Baptist is committed to safely and lovingly caring for your child while you are attending services. Our goal is to assure parents that their baby receives special care in a welcoming baby-friendly place. Volunteers serve once a quarter. Middle and high school students may serve with an adult. Please call the FBC Office for more information 541.482.3836.
